Guidelines for Reopening

1. The church reopened on the Solemnity of Corpus Christi weekend: Saturday, June 13.
2. The dispensation from the obligation to participate in Sunday and Holy Day Masses remains in effect until further notice. For this reason, those who wish to attend Sunday Eucharist and are unable to do so because of the limited access to the church may choose to attend Mass on another day.
3. Those who are particularly vulnerable to the coronavirus, i.e. those sixty (60) years of age and over, and especially those with one or several underlying medical conditions, should follow Mass at home via live stream until all restrictions are removed.
4. A person with a cough or fever of any kind should stay home to protect the health of others.
5. Our new Mass schedule beginning June 13:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 7:30am
Saturday 5:00pm
Confession 4:00-4:45pm (entrance from lower parking through the door where the elevator is located)
Sunday 7:30am, 9:00am, 10:30am, 12:00pm
Polish Mass every second Saturday of the month at 7:00pm
6. Only Sunday Noon Mass will be live streamed via YouTube.
7. Regularly cleaning and disinfecting commonly touched surfaces in the church will be done after every service.
8. All hymnals are removed from the church pews.
9. Hand sanitizers are placed at the entrance into the church.
10. All persons over the age of 2 should wear face masks.
11. Restrooms should only be used in case of necessity.
12. Only one entrance is allowed to be open. We will open the glass door under the carport.
13. Holy Water fonts and the baptismal fonts remain empty.
14. All people inside the church must practice social distancing by keeping 6 feet from other persons. People from the same household do not have to follow the social distancing guidelines, but must keep 6 feet from all others.
15. Certain pews are closed to make sure that social distancing is maintained. Temporary and safe markings are made on the floor to maintain social distancing.
16. Altar Servers will not assist at the altar until further notice.
17. There will be no choir. Singing is discouraged in general. Singing, especially in close proximity to others, may increase the risk of viral spread.
The parts of the Mass, e.g., Gloria, Gospel Acclamation, Creed, Holy Holy, Lamb of God will be sung.
18. There won’t be offertory procession. Collection baskets are placed at the entrance to the church.
19. The Exchange of Peace is to be shared without human contact.
20. Social distancing should be maintained by the faithful when they approach to receive the Eucharist at Communion time. Please allow six feet between each person in the line going to receive the Eucharist. The faithful should be encouraged to bring hand sanitizer to use before the reception of Holy Communion.
21. The Body of Christ will be placed in the hands of the communicant (if you are wearing gloves, you have to remove them before receiving Communion.
Communion on a tongue is not encouraged.
After you receive Communion, you will go on the side (box marked on the floor), then remove your mask, consume the Body of Christ, and then continue walking to your seat.
22. The distribution of the Precious Blood from the chalice is discontinued for the foreseeable future. The Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Christ is received under either species.
23. If you wish not to receive Communion due to your own safety or spiritual condition, please follow the traffic and when approaching the Priest, cross your hands on your chest and continue walking towards your seat. Holy Communion is not an obligation; it is a privilege for those who are in a state of grace (free from mortal sin through sacramental confession).
24. The door to the church will open 20 minutes before each Mass.
Before first Mass in a day (Saturday 5:00 PM and Sunday 7:30 AM) the door will be open earlier than 20 minutes before Mass.
25. We are allowed to fit in church up to 150 people or 25% of the capacity, whichever number is lower.
Crying room will be closed for the present time. For the safety of children, families with little children can choose seats in the Narthex due to easier access to the exit of the church.
26. There will be 4 seats available for ushers at each Mass.
27. There is no particular schedule for Eucharistic Ministers and Lectors for the present time.
28. Ushers and Lectors must wear gloves except for the Communion time.
29. Members of the same household are allowed to sit together (subject to availability).
30. The carport will be closed for driving on the Weekends.
This space will be available for those who want to attend Mass sitting outside.
There will be a speaker transmitting sound from inside.
