Phillip R. Lamb holds degrees in Organ Performance from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (B. Music, 2011) and Manhattan School of Music (M. Music, 2014). Phillip has served in a diverse array of liturgical settings, ranging from Trinity Moravian Church in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Saint Mary’s Abbey, Delbarton (Order of Saint Benedict) in Morristown, New Jersey, to historic Saint George’s Episcopal Parish in Flushing, Queens, where he led a unique trilingual music program. Before beginning his ministry at St. Pius X, Phillip was Music Director and Organist at South Presbyterian Church in Bergenfield, NJ, where he was a part of coordinating a season of festive events to celebrate the church’s 300th anniversary. Phillip has had the pleasure of performing on some of the East Coast’s most beloved organs, such as those at New York’s Riverside Church, Church of Saint Mary the Virgin, Brick Presbyterian Church, Grace Church (Episcopal), and National City Christian Church in Washington, DC. Additionally, Phillip has been a featured performer at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, where he was asked to contribute to Deck the Hall, an album of Christmas Organ music. His performance of Richard Purvis’s Carol Rhapsody from this album has been featured on British Public Media’s “Hot Pipes” broadcast, as well as American Public Media’s “PipeDreams” show.
